 FANCY´S PEDIGREE

Fancy is an active, playful girl with a big heart, mind and herding instinct.
She is not a tough worker, but really knows what to do!
One look in her iceblue eyes is telling you more than 1000 words.
She is watchfull, intelligent and is easy to train.
Fancy is an outcross and a good mix between show - ( Heatherhill - Colorado )
& working lines ( Bar LW, Justus & Mistretta )
She is our rising star & we are proud & happy that she is here!

Fancy´s Story

I am very proud that after 1 ½ years of my intense research,
many emails & phonecalls with German & US breeders, my Fancy is the final result!
Not even in the States it is easy to find the right
( reputable ) breeder that are willing to share their experiences with you.

Therefore I appreciate even more what Elaine & Roger did for me.

Fancy was raised on a Farm in Dothan - Alabama USA!
Roger Stevens currently runs about 65 Senepol / Hereford cattle,
one Jersey cow, fifty head of goats, fifty head of hair sheep,
chickens, ducks, and assorted other critters. Keeping all these animals
under control would not be possible without the help of his Aussies.

Fancy´s Mom:
Ridgeview Bluegrass Arrogance DNA-CP

born: 11/11/1992

Fancy´s Mother is a beautiful, correct, very intelligent
& playful Lady that loves to play frisbee.

She´s a Diamond....

Fancy´s Dad:
HOF Justus McCain of Pincie Creek DNA-VP STDcsd

born: 05/21/1993

Fancys Dad is one of Rogers best working dogs.
His call name is Mac but Insiders know him as "Mac Attack".

He is a very correct & highly intelligent red bi male.
Roger says:
"Mac is very intelligent, we would probably say he is cunning.
You can watch him and see the wheels turning in his head.
Sometimes he will use his intelligence to try to outsmart you."

Fancys siblings are also real great in Herding.

That´s why Mac carries the titel Hall of Fame Sire # 145 !

Fancy was Elaine´s pick puppy and it was hard for her to let her go.
Since September 1998 she joins my life.

We also have four Persian Cats:

Pino, Calimero, Gismo & Lisa

For more Info klick HERE.
Pino & Calimero are neutered tomcats and Lisa is the princess.
Gismo is Lisa´s "MAN" of the house.
These 4 are Fancy´s buddies to play with & she loves to take care of them.

Her favorite sports are Herding our Sheep, Agility, Biking,
Mountain Climbing or visiting our Quarter Horse mare Cindy.

Choosing a Broodbitch:

- HEALTH ( HD, PRA, CEA etc. free up to five generations )

- CHARACTER & TEMPERAMENT of puppy & parents

- GOOD PEDIGREE meaning a pedigree that is as free of any genetic defects as possible

- EXTERIOR: correct structure & movement of both parents, quick & agile,
natural herding instinct & the willing to please, work for me attitude

- COLOR:

I found it important to find a red factored individual
to preserve the multitude of color variety in the breed,
although the actual color is only a minor criteria for me.

For me it was most important to find a female that will
extend our limited Genepool here in Germany.
That is why I wanted and finally got Fancy.
She is totally outcrossed and therefore an asset to what we have in Germany.
Outcross means that there are no tight linebreedings in her pedigree.

C.A. Sharp an Aussie Genetic Specialist from USA said:
Show breeders might want to consider if they find themselves
in a genetic pickle with their line: Outcross your line to a working line.

That´s a way to bring in new blood and get away from the problems you have in your line.
There are more inhereditary problems in Showlines than in Workinglines.
It is not because Show Breeders are "bad".
It is because of their different goals and breeding strategies.
( Find more about C.A. Sharp in our Link Page! )

Inbreeding or Linebreeding does not any way mean "bad" breeding.
You just have to be sure that the foundationdogs were as free of genetic diseases as possible.
( for instance the Mistretta or Fairoaks Kennels )

We hope that Fancy will be a great foundation bitch &
a great mother for the Sunny Hill Generations.

Her health results are excellent...

So far she had two litters born in December 2001 & Mai 2003.

You can find more info about our offspring if you click on Offspring.
